Inspecting the website elements via different browsers

Updated over 2 months ago

Inspect Element is a built-in tool found in most web browsers that allows real-time viewing and editing of a website's HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code. It can help you understand how a webpage is constructed and diagnose and debug website issues, such as mixed content.

Here's how to use the Inspect Element tool on your preferred browser:

Google Chrome

Right-click on an empty website area or an element, and select Inspect. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+C to open all the development tools. Switch to the Elements tab to inspect elements or the Console tab to detect errors or warnings.

Mozilla Firefox

Right-click on an empty website area or an element, and select Inspect. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+C.

Opera

Right-click on an empty website area or an element, and select Inspect. Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+I.

Microsoft Edge

Right-click on an empty website area or an element, and select Inspect. Alternatively, press F12, which will open all the development tools. Check the Elements tab to inspect elements or the Console tab to detect errors or warnings.

Make sure the element you're inspecting matches the latest version on the website by clearing your browser cache. 💡
