With CHMOD you can allow viewing, editing and execution rights to your files and folders. These rights can be set differently to the owner (you), a group of users and the public! :)

You can set access rights for files with CHMOD via both of the File Manager menus found in your account's hPanel's Files section:

1. In File Manager menu you will have to select the needed file or folder, right click on the Permissions field, locate the Permissions button and change the access rights.

2. In File Manager 2 menu you will have to select the needed file or folder and locate the Chmod feature where you can also change the access rights.

NOTE: When setting access rights with CHMOD, you should set values to 644 for files and 755 for folders.
