Website Builder: Gift cards

Learn how to create a gift card in your e-store created with Hostinger Website Builder

Updated yesterday

Gift cards are a great way to boost sales, attract new customers, and encourage repeat purchases in your online store. They make perfect presents for any occasion and provide a hassle-free shopping experience for your customers.

This guide will walk you through the steps to set up and manage gift cards in your Hostinger Website Builder e-store, helping you unlock new revenue opportunities and delight your customers.

This functionality is currently available to a limited group of users 💡

Creating a gift card

While creating a product, choose Gift card:

Add gift card amounts. You can add up to 50 different amounts, but at least one is mandatory. Your website visitors will be able to select the preferred amount on the gift card product page.

You can select whether you want the gift card to have an expiration date. You may select from the preset timeframes of 1, 3, 6, 12, or 24 months. You may also change that timeframe later, but this change won't apply to the gift cards that have already been sold.

Using a gift card

Once a gift card is purchased, the buyer receives an email with the gift card code and information about the expiration date. If a physical copy is needed, the digital gift card can also be downloaded and printed.

Gift card codes are supposed to be inserted in the discount field in your store's checkout. When using a gift card, regular discount codes also apply: buyers can insert discount and gift card codes into the same discount field one by one.

If a purchase is paid using a gift card, you will see it on the Orders page in your store management area.

IMPORTANT:

  • One gift card can be used only once. If the total cart sum is lower than the gift card amount, the remainder can't be used while making another purchase. In other words, the user should use the whole gift card amount at once.

  • It is possible to apply more than one gift card in one order.

  • Gift cards do not cover shipping costs.
