While the general process to transfer a domain apply to all TLDs, some domain extensions, such as .eu have additional requirements that need to be taken into consideration in order to transfer successfully.

To initiate the transfer of a .eu domain name, you need to request an authorization code from your current registrar or get it directly from the My .eu account.

The authorization code consists of a total of 16 letters and digits separated by dashes, in the following format:

XXXX-AAAA-BBBB-CCCC

After requesting the authorization code, you will receive a notification email from the European Registry of Internet Domain Names (EURid) and you will be able to initiate the transfer of your domain to Hostinger 😊
