Accessing and setting up the CentOS panel on Hostinger’s VPS

Updated over a week ago

CentOS is one of the OS templates available for our VPS plans. You can choose it while setting up your VPS for the first time or change it later anytime.

Visit our CentOS VPS hosting page to explore the available plans 💡

Recommendations

  1. A VPS with 2GB RAM is recommended for CentOS to run smoothly

  2. Enabling mod_security is not recommended with CentOS unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing

Logging In

Once you get your VPS running with the CentOS panel, you will be able to log in to your control panel using these links:

  • https://your_vps_ip:2031 (this will require you to accept an untrusted SSL certificate)

The default login details will be as follows:

  • Username: root

  • Password: your root password

Activation

Once logged in, set up and activate your server by following our installation guide.
