Learn about different examples of what can be achieved using Horizons and what should be avoided

Updated yesterday

Hostinger Horizons allows anyone to create custom web apps or web softwares in minutes—no coding required. However, have in mind that complex software or applications will require smart prompting by the user and some understanding of web development.

In this article, you will find examples of what can be achieved with Horizons, description examples and what should be avoided inside the tool.

Horizons Webapp Examples

Below you can find some examples of ideas that could be created as web applications or softwares with Horizons:

  • A fitness app that generates personalized workout and diet plans based on user data, such as age, height, weight, and physical condition.

  • An AI-powered gamified language-learning platform that provides 10 new quests daily.

  • A task management app for people with ADHD, showing only one task at a time to reduce overwhelm.

  • A personal budget tracker that categorizes expenses and provides spending insights.

  • An AI-powered book recommendation app that suggests books based on reading history.

Webapp Description Examples

For your first description using Horizons, follow 2-5 sentences with a clear description of your project. Below you can find some description examples based on the examples above:

  • A fitness app that generates personalized workout and diet plans based on user data, such as age, height, weight, and physical condition:

Description to be used in Horizons: "Create a personalized fitness app that generates workout and diet plans based on the user's age, height, weight, and physical condition. Ensure the app tailors the plans for weight loss, muscle gain, or maintenance, and includes progress tracking features."

  • An AI-powered gamified language-learning platform that provides 10 new quests daily:

Description to be used in Horizons: "Generate a gamified language-learning platform that offers 10 new quests every day. Each quest should focus on learning new words, phrases, and grammar in an interactive, game-like experience. Include rewards, progress tracking, and a motivating system to keep users engaged."
It's recommended to use chatGPT in order to generate even better prompts, as the AI language format is better read from Horizons, and with this, you can achieve better results by using a prompt generated using AI 🚀

Actions to be avoided

  1. For now, you can use Horizons to develop a website instead of a webapp, however, have in mind that depending on how complex you want the website to be, it would be much better, easier and structured to use a ready website solution oriented to the project goal you have, such as WordPress or Hostinger Website Builder.

  2. Currently, monetization and authentication are challenging to prompt. However, our team is constantly working on improving Horizon’s capability.

  3. You are unable to edit or see the code of the webapp by yourself - however, you can request Horizons to generate a code for you to add your webapp to another website, for example.

  4. You are unable to import your custom codes from 3rd party platforms like GitHub.

  5. You are unable to use advanced hosting features, such as File Manager, FTP, PHP, SSH, databases, Cron Jobs, GIT and IP Manager (all the features mentioned are available with other content management systems, such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, and the like.).
