There are two main possible reasons for an email account not to receive emails while still being able to send them. Let’s go through them:
Step 1 - Check Domain DNS Records
To make sure that your domain's MX records are pointing correctly, go to the DNSChecker tool, enter your domain, select MX on the record list, and click on Search.
If you are using Hostinger Email, the result should indicate the following:
If you see a different value, you need to change it in your website's DNS Zone Editor to the following MX records:
Priority | Value (Mail Server) | TTL |
5 | mx1.hostinger.com | default |
10 | mx2.hostinger.com | default |
Once you do that, the email service will start working again in the next 24 hours.
Step 2 - Check the Mail Services
Another reason might be due to your email account’s settings. Open the Emails section of your panel and click on Manage next to the domain name:
Next, click on the Options button (⋮) next to the email account in question and choose Settings:
If Suspend receiving is enabled, disable it and click on Update to save the changes:
