Requesting a password reset to your account email if you forgot your password

Updated over a year ago

If you are able to log in to your account and you want to change your password, check this guide: How to Change Your Hostinger Account Password.

In case you have forgotten your account password and you are not using the social login method, you can reset your password via email. You have two alternative methods:

Option 1 - Through the Login Page

Open the login page from the Hostinger website:

The link will work for your accounts regardless on which Hostinger brand

Next, click on Forgot password? below the login form:

In the next screen, enter the email address you used to register at Hostinger and click Send Reset Email. A password reset link will be sent to your email.

Option 2 - Through the Reset Password Page

Alternatively, you can access the form to submit directly from the following link:

Once there, enter the email address associated with your Hostinger account and click Send Reset Email. A password reset link will be sent to your email.

The links above work for all Hostinger brands, regardless of the Hostinger site where your account was created (e.g., hostinger.in, hostinger.co.uk, etc.). 🗺️

When Will the Email Arrive?

In most cases, you will receive the password reset link in a few minutes. However, it can land in your Spam, Updates, or other inboxes - make sure to check them all.

In rare cases, the password reset email might be delayed by your email provider. We recommend waiting up to one hour before trying to reset the password again.

If you have requested a password reset several times, make sure to use the link from the latest email you received, as each new request overrides the previous one.

Resetting the Password for Social Login Accounts

If you are using a social login method to access your account, such as Google, Facebook, or GitHub, the Forgot password option will not send you a password reset link since you are using your social account details.

In case you forgot your social login credentials, make sure to follow the instructions of the social platform to recover your account:

Or contact their support area directly for further assistance.

NOTE

  • If you are not using social login, and you lost access to the email account connected to your Hostinger account, or if you lost access to the account you used for social login, check this article: How to Recover Your Hostinger Account
