To properly send and receive emails, you need to make sure that the correct MX (Email Exchange) records are present in your domain's DNS zone.

To check it, access the DNS management zone of your domain💡

NOTES

  • If your domain is pointed elsewhere (than to Hostinger) by nameservers, DNS records should also be set up from the platform your domain is pointed to

  • Besides MX, make sure to add SPF and DKIM records as well

After making any changes to your domain's DNS zone, DNS propagation starts; give it some time to complete, and your email service will be up and running smoothly 💡

Hostinger Email

If you use Hostinger Email, add the following MX records to your domain's DNS zone:

Priority

Host

Value (Mail server)

TTL

5

@

mx1.hostinger.com

14400

10

@

mx2.hostinger.com

14400

If your domain is pointed to Hostinger by nameservers, you can add all the necessary DNS records automatically with a couple of clicks:

  1. Navigate to the Emails section

  2. Click on Manage next to the preferred email account

  3. Open the DNS settings section on the left

  4. In the Email delivery section, click on Set all to default:
