SPF stands for Sender Policy Framework. SPF records are DNS records of TXT type that specify which mail servers can send emails on behalf of a specific domain.
When an email is received, the recipient's mail server checks the SPF record of the sender's domain to verify if the sending server is permitted to send emails for that domain. This improves the deliverability of your messages and helps prevent them from being marked as spam.
SPF for Hostinger Email
The default SPF record for Hostinger Email is as follows:
Type | Host | TXT value | TTL |
TXT | @ | v=spf1 include:_spf.mail.hostinger.com ~all | default |
If your domain is pointed to Hostinger by nameservers, you can add the correct DNS records – MX, SPF, and DKIM – in a couple of clicks:
Navigate to the Emails section
Click on Manage next to the domain name in question
Open the DNS settings section, and click on Set all to default
Or you can add only the selected record(s) – MX, SPF, or DKIM – by scrolling down a bit and clicking on Set default next to the preferred record.
SPF for Titan Email
The default SPF record for Titan Email is as follows:
Type | Host | TXT value | TTL |
TXT | @ | v=spf1 include:spf.titan.email ~all | default |
Before creating an SPF record, make sure to check for already existing SPF records. If there are any, delete them, and only then proceed with creating a new SPF record.
NOTES
If your domain is pointed elsewhere by nameservers, the SPF record needs to be set up at the platform to which your domain is pointed.
Any changes in the DNS zone (adding, removing, editing DNS records, etc.) trigger propagation which can take up to 24 hours
