A two-factor authentication method is a huge improvement to your account’s safety. It will allow you to ensure that all logins to your account are done by you. To set it up, firstly you need to log in to your Hostinger profile.

Once logged in, click on the profile icon and choose Security:

On the Security page, you will see the list of available 2FA methods: application authentication and email authentication. All you need to do is click on Enable in front of the most suitable one, we will use Application authentication method for this article:

Then you will be asked to scan the QR code with your 2FA application and enter the generated code:

Lastly, you will be presented with 9 backup codes in case you lose your 2FA device. Make sure to save or download them. Once that’s done click on Finish setup:

That’s it! 2FA is now enabled on your account 😊


  • You can choose only one 2FA option at a time

  • Backup codes are only shown once, in case you haven’t saved them, you will need to set up 2FA again

  • When the 2FA is set up, you will be able to remove it on the same page

  • If you lost access to your 2FA device - make sure to contact our team
