Website Builder: How to Create and Restore Website Backups

Learn about website backups in Hostinger Website Builder

Updated over a week ago

When using Hostinger Website Builder, backups are created and stored on our databases automatically.

The first backup is created when you publish your website. After that, backups are created each time you update the website. For instance, if you update a published website three times, there are four backup versions saved in total.

Backups are stored for 30 days 💡

You can find the backups in two places within the builder. By hovering the cursor over the Save button in the upper toolbar:

Or, in the sidebar, click on the ellipsis ⋯ button to access more website settings and select Manage backups:

If a website hasn't been published yet, this option is grayed out, meaning that no backups are available 💡

You can find all the saved versions on the left. Click on each to view it and restore the preferred one by clicking on Restore backup:

Restoring a preferred version of a website created with Hostinger Website Builder

The selected version is restored within the editor. Update the website to make it live. To see the changes online, you may need to clear the cache.

Deleted builder websites cannot be restored
