How to Switch From Hostinger Website Builder to WordPress or Another Content Management System

Learn how to select another platform for building your website

Updated today

If you've started creating your website with Hostinger Website Builder and would like to use another Content Management System (CMS) instead, you need to delete the builder-based website and set up a new website from scratch using another CMS.

If you want to continue using the content you have already worked on, you can export it to WordPress and start using WordPress instead. Please note that not everything can be exported. You can export regular pages, texts, images, and other files, but you can’t export website style and layout, online store, integrations, forms, collected submissions, or SEO settings. More information is provided here.

NOTES

  • A deleted website cannot be restored; all its content is lost permanently

  • If you have an email service set up for your domain, make sure to create a backup of your emails, as deleting the website will also delete emails

Switching to Another Content Management System

  1. Navigate to the Websites section of hPanel and delete the website that you've created:

  2. Then, add a new website to your hosting plan and choose between Empty PHP/HTML or migrate the website to your preferred website-building platform.

If you select WordPress, to finish the setup, create a WordPress account, choose the preferred plugins and website template, and insert the domain name that you've previously released by deleting the website built with Hostinger Website Builder.
