What to Do if the VPS IP Is Blocked

What to do if you can't reach your VPS IP due to being blocked by your country or ISP

Updated over a year ago

In rare cases, you may experience difficulty accessing your website or application hosted on your Hostinger VPS from certain locations or networks due to a block imposed on the IP address of your VPS.

These blocks can occur for various reasons that may or may not be related to your website and VPS in particular, such as government censorship, internet service provider (ISP) restrictions, or blacklisting.

While we work to ensure that all IP addresses for VPS have maximum accessibility, these blocks are enforced by third parties – therefore, we are not able to either apply or remove them.

If the IP address of your VPS is blocked, you can try using a virtual private network (VPN). It allows you to connect to the internet through a different IP address located in another country, bypassing any blocks that may be in place. There are some free and paid solutions for you to choose the one that best suits your needs.

Once you connect using a VPN, you should be able to access your VPS without any issues.

NOTES

  • Using a VPN may slow your connection speed

  • Since using a VPN requires it to handle all of your traffic, it is recommended to use a reputable service and take necessary precautions to ensure your data and privacy are protected
