There are a few alternative ways you can start the process of transferring a domain for free:
You can go to the Transfer page of Domains section in hPanel. If you are eligible, free domain transfer options will appear and you can enter the domain name and click on Transfer.
If the domain extension you want isn't available for free domain transfer, you will need to purchase it separately.
From the Home page of hPanel – In the Account Actions section, locate the Claim Domain button:
If there are any outstanding payments on your account, they will be displayed by default in this section. To locate the free domain, click on the Account Actions tab:
Transfer your domain name
Before you proceed with the domain transfer, you will need to check these requirements:
Check your domain's extension (TLD) and ensure that the domain’s extension (TLD) is eligible for the free domain transfer.
You have full ownership and control of the domain name you want to transfer to us
60 days have passed since the domain was registered at (or transferred to) the current domain provider.
The domain is active: not suspended by the registry and not in the redemption period
You have a valid EPP/Auth code from your current registrar (or an authorization code for .eu domains).
Ensure DNSSEC is disabled. You can verify your DNSSEC status using the DNSSEC Checker tool.
Once you are ready to claim your free domain transfer, follow these steps:
Unlock your domain from the current registrar.
Insert your domain name and click on the Claim Domain button.
Enter the EPP code and fill in the form with all the necessary information
Choose whether you want to keep your current nameservers or use Hostinger nameservers and initiate the transfer. You will also have the option to keep your current records if you choose Hostinger nameservers.
After claim the free domain transfer and setup the domain transfer, you'll receive an email about the transfer — be sure to confirm it.
Eligibility for a free domain transfer
If your domain is not eligible for a free domain transfer, you will need to purchase the domain transfer separately from the Hostinger Transfer Domain page (or Transfer Domain if you already have a Hostinger account). Alternatively, you can use the option to register a free domain.
Free domain transfer is supported only for these selected TLD:
.com, .in, .fr, .es, .lt, .nl, .eu, .pl, .de, .my.id, .ch, .uk, .se, .pt, .us, .co.uk, .co.in, .com.au, .com.es, .com.br, .com.pl, .be, .dk, .fi, org.uk, .id, .org
NOTES
Web Single plans of any duration, monthly plans, cPanel and VPS (KVM or Game Panel) plans, hosting upgrades, renewals, and changing the billing cycle to a longer period do not qualify for a free domain registration or free domain transfer.
The free domain transfer or domain registration must be claimed within 12 months of the eligible purchase; otherwise, the offer will expire.
Free domain transfer are non-refundable once the transfer is completed, in accordance with our Refund Policy.
