If you wish to transfer your domain to another company from Hostinger, the new registrar may ask for an authorization code (EPP code) to verify that you actually own the domain name registration.

Some TLDs have a special transfer process, you can find the additional requirements here:

For all other domain extensions, you can get the EPP code or Auth code, by going to the Domains section on your panel and clicking on the domain:

The code will be displayed on the Domain information area as Secret key. You can show it by clicking on the eye icon next to it:

If there is no secret key, it usually means that the domain registry doesn’t allow EPP code to be displayed in the control panel directly. No worries, all you need to do is to contact our Customer Success team - we will gladly provide you with the code 😊

With the EPP or Auth code you will be able to initiate the transfer of your domain, given that the following requirements are also met:

  • More than 60 days have passed since the domain was purchased or last transferred previously

  • The domain is unlocked

  • Privacy protection is disabled

Additionally, the company you are transferring the domain to might have additional requirements, so it’s always good to contact them beforehand.
