At Hostinger, you get free Lifetime SSL certificates for all of your domains and subdomains when purchasing any of our Web and Cloud hosting plans!
Each of your domains and subdomains will have its own SSL certificate installed automatically as soon as you add them to your hosting plan.
How to Install Lifetime SSL Manually
If SSL isn't installed automatically, you can easily do it manually by following these steps:
Make sure that your domain is added to the hosting plan or that your subdomain is created
On your Members Area, go to Websites, find the site in question, and click Manage.
In the sidebar, search for SSL, and open its settings:
Then, click on the Install SSL button to initiate SSL installation:
NOTE
If you don’t see the Import SSL and Install SSL options, most likely, you already have an SSL certificate installed on that domain or subdomain. To install a new certificate, uninstall the existing one first
The SSL certificate will be installed within a couple of minutes. Once it's done, you'll see the status Active:
If the SSL installation fails, make sure that your domain is pointing to Hostinger servers, wait for the propagation, and reinstall the SSL 💡
Can SSL Certificates Be Reused?
You get free SSL for all of your domains and subdomains hosted with us, so there's no need to worry about reusing certificates!
If you no longer need an SSL certificate on a domain, you can simply uninstall it. The uninstalled certificate will be deleted and if needed, a new one can be generated later for the same website.
Since these certificates require that the website is hosted at a Web or Cloud hosting plan at Hostinger, they cannot be transferred to a VPS or to another hosting provider.
