If you have two Hostinger accounts and you need to move your domain from one to the other, follow these steps 👇
Step 1 – Preparations
Before moving the domain, perform the following checks:
Verify whether the top-level domain (TLD) of the domain you wish to transfer is one of the following:
A generic top-level domain (gTLD) such as .com, .net, .org, etc.
One of these specific country-code TLDs (ccTLDs): .in or .co.uk
If the destination account has a different email address, the receiving account can have only one Hostinger account across all Hostinger brands
If the destination account has the same email address, ensure that there are no more than two Hostinger accounts associated with the same email address.
If any of these requirements are met, proceed to the next step.
In case any of the previous conditions are not met due to the destination account or the domain's TLD, please get in touch with our Customer Success team for assistance in moving the domain.
Step 2 – Initiate the Domain Move
Open the Domains section, and click on Manage next to the domain name you wish to move:
On the left sidebar, select Transfers, and click on Move domain to another Hostinger account.
Select the domain from the list and click on Continue. On the next section, click on Initiate domain move:
Next, enter the destination email and click on Confirm:
You can cancel the domain move before the new owner confirms it by clicking on the Cancel button:
Step 3 – Confirm the Domain Move
To confirm the domain move, go to the Domains section of the new account's Members Area and click on Accept.
Enter the new domain contact details and click on Finish registration.
NOTE
Once you change the domain owner details, you may receive a verification message to both the current and new email addresses; the domain move will be performed once the email address change is verified
After the domain move is completed, the domain will be owned and managed from the new account.
