How to Change Your Domain Contact Details
Editing the contact details of a domain purchased at Hostinger
Updated over a week ago

You can modify the contact details of a domain at any time from your panel. Just go to the Domains section and choose the domain you wish to perform changes to:

The Domains section on hPanel showing how to access domain management

Click on Contact Information and choose the type of contact details you want to change:

  • Registrant Contact (owner of the domain)

  • Administrative Contact (main manager of the domain)

  • Billing Contact (person in charge of domain-related payments)

  • Technical Contact (webmaster or IT department)

Then, click on Change contacts:

The Domain Contact Information section showing how to update the domain's contact details

Once there, select Create New Profile:

The Create New Profile option for updating the domain contact details

Fill in all the details with valid data and click on Create profile:

The contact details form to create a new profile

Once created, you will be asked to use this profile. We recommend ticking the checkbox to use the profile for all domain contacts, then click on Use contact:

The confirmation window showing how to use the same profile for all domain contacts (registrant, administrative, billing & technical)

That's it! Now you know how to change the contact details of your domain.

NOTES:

  • Once you change the domain owner details, you will receive a verification message to your domain's registered email address requesting to approve the change. If you are updating the email address as well, the message will be sent to both the current and the new addresses

  • It might take up to 24 hours for the updated details to be visible on WHOIS - if domain privacy is disabled

  • Some TLDs do not allow the editing of certain fields or contact details via the panel. In such cases, contact our Customer Success team, and we will help you 😊
