If you wish to import your emails from another provider or a backup file to Titan Email at Hostinger, follow the instructions below 👇
Step 1 - Preparations
Before importing email messages to your Titan Email account at Hostinger, ensure that:
You have created an email account with Titan Email at Hostinger
The Titan Email DNS records are added to your domain's DNS zone and propagation is complete
The storage used in your current mailbox (or email backup file size) is less than the available space in your new Titan Email account. If not, delete unnecessary messages. Alternatively, you can consider upgrading your Titan Email plan
Step 2 - Check the Email Account Status
If the mailbox you want to import messages from is no longer active and your data is stored in a backup file, you can use an email client to import your emails. Refer to the following guides:
If you want to import to Outlook and you have a .pst file, check this article: How to restore backup(.PST file) via Outlook Email Client
If you want to import to a Mac device and you have a .mbox file: Import backup on Apple Mail
If your previous email provider is Google Workspace, follow these steps: Import Emails from Google Workspace to Titan
If the email account you want to import is active, skip to the next step.
Step 3 - Import from Active Email Account
Find out the IMAP server hostname, and keep the source email address and password handy.
Next, navigate to the Emails section of your hPanel, and click on Manage next to the domain name:
Select Import Email Data:
In the Import Email Data page, click on the Import a mailbox button and enter the following information:
The IMAP server or IP addres. For example: imap.mailprovider.tld
If the IMAP server supports SSL, select the Yes radio button
The IMAP port
The source email address - use full format, eg. name@domain.tld
The password of the email account on your previous provider
Select the destination Titan email account from the dropdown list. Your messages will be imported to this account
Once all the information is filled in, click on Submit. The importing will require some time to complete depending on the size of your mailbox.
