If you have a website hosted elsewhere and wish to migrate it to Hostinger, our migration team will be more than happy to do this for you free of charge. All you need to do is fill out a migration request. You can learn more about the process here: How to Migrate Your Website to Hostinger.
If your website is already at Hostinger, or if our team cannot perform the migration due to technical reasons linked to your website's architecture or limitations of your current hosting, you have the option to transfer it manually.
Follow these steps for manual website transfer to Hostinger:
Download a backup of your website's files from your current hosting account.
Upload the files to your hosting account at Hostinger. This can be easily done using the File Manager or an FTP client.
For websites that require a database, complete these additional steps:
Backup the database on the old server by exporting it via phpMyAdmin.
Update your site's configuration files to match your new database details.
Once your website is uploaded, you can point your domain to Hostinger. After around 24 hours, the propagation will be complete, and your website will be fully operational.
