Option 1 - Restore backup in an active hosting account

Backups can be restored by accessing your Backups option under the Files section:

Once you click on it, you will be presented with all the types of backups that were made:

To restore files, select a preferred date and click on Show files:

Then select everything you wish to restore and click on Restore files:

NOTE:

  • If you need to restore specific files or directories, you can easily do that by selecting only the files or directories you want to be restored

To restore a database, select a preferred database Show databases:

Then specify a date and click on Restore database:

Done, your site has been successfully restored! To see the changes, you may need to clear the browser cache and local DNS cache.

Option 2 - Restore to a new hosting account

For files you need to follow these steps:

If the site has used a database (it is necessary for such popular CMS as WordPress, Joomla, or OpenCart), then you also need to do the following:

Done, your site has been successfully restored! To see the changes, you may need to clear the browser cache and local DNS cache.

NOTE:

  • After the restoration, your website will be brought back to the state it was at the moment of backup creation. All the changes that were done after the backup date will be reverted
